Another Day at Maho Bay

Manta Ray at Maho Bay

Another beautiful Day at Maho Bay. The water seems to be warming up a bit and as usual there was plenty to see both from the shore and from the water. The manta rays are the newest tourists to find Maho (and Maho Campground and Little Maho and Francis Bays) to be an excellent venue for a day at the beach and have been hanging around for the last few months to the delight of all.

Karen Jarvis was at Maho Bay also yesterday showing off her new racing paddle board. It’s a rocket!

Karen rents boards and gives lessons.

A beautiful way to see the bay!

  1. Hi Gerald!
That guy/girl is BIG! I’ll be staying at Maho Campgrounds the end of May into June and will try my hand at SUP. Part of me would be freaked to see something that big under my board, but my adventuresome side would be thrilled! Hope it’s still around when I’m there.
    As always,take care.

  2. So glad I found your Blog. I’m coming to St Johns for the first time in June, and I was hoping to ‘familiarize’ myself with island happenings before arriving. This is perfect~ Thanks for sharing!
