A Passing Squall

Experiencing the weather on St. John is somewhat like experiencing it on a ship at sea. The island is small enough and the mountains are not high enough to cause much of a land effect on the weather.

When the squall line got close enough I could feel the wind’s increased velocity at the leading edge of the squall.  Shortly there after came the rain which lasted about three minutes before the squall passed over and the skies to east were clear once again.
