This is a call for help, due to the fact I saw a part of my grandmothers name in your article. Her name was Matilda Graham but she was born in St. Thomas the Virgin Island around the 1800's. Is there anyway I could get any information about her and her family. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You

I truly appreciate your article. My grandmother was Princess Alexandrine Sewer, my mother Irene Chinnery and my Dad Conrad Govine. Reading the article brought many memories of spending time with Granny on Jost Van Dyke during the summers with my brother Conrad, cousins, Jutta, Calvin, Frankie, Freddie, Florise, Foster, Irene, Melvin and Orville. What a special time that was roaming free and jumping into the sea first thing in the morning.

So that's who Ivan is in Kenny Chesney's song, "Somewhere in the Sun"

Chorus:

"Oh I wish I was there tonight on Jost Van Dyke
Sipping on some Foxy's Firewater rum
Or kickin' back with Ivan
With all my friends down in the islands
Wouldn't take much for me to up and run
To another life somewhere in the sun"

I have been wondering who Ivan was for years. That's really cool.
