St. John Flora: Poui Tree
Posted by gerald in st john flora and fauna, tags: Caneel Bay, poui tree, St. JohnThe wood of the Poui tree (Tabebuia chrysantha) is strong and durable and is resistant to dampness, decay, fire and termites. Consequently it has been used for docks, piers, outdoor furniture, park benches and boardwalks including the boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
