Welcome back!

Jacob and I went shopping at the Dolphin Market last night, braving the dreaded turnabout construction. I did this in order to avail myself of the usual 10% discount on purchases over $50.00 and to get one of those great coupons for the 30% weekend discount.

We hit the checkout counter, Lisa scanned the groceries, packed them up and I asked for a box of water, my 10% discount and a 30% coupon.

Lisa said, “I can help you out with the first thing, but not the other two.”

“Why?” I asked.

“No more 10% discounts and no coupons today,” she answered.

“I’ll go to Starfish!” I countered and behind me a lady said, “Me too.”

Lisa was unfazed.

Oh well, I guess all good things come to an end. On the bright side, the new St. John Gourmet Market and Starfish are closer for me and I won’t have to deal with the construction and tough parking just because I’m tempted to save a few bucks.

As they say in Spanish, menos mal.

Last night Lisa admitted that she was wrong. The 10% discount on purchases over $50.00 remains in effect. As they say in Spanish, menos mal.
