The Great
Black-backed Gull, Larus marinus, breeds
on the coasts of Euope and America as wll as in the Caribbean.
It's a very large gull that takes about four to five years
to mature. The call is a deep "laughing" cry. They
are omnivores that scavange, hunt and often steal the catch
of other seabirds.
